NEPSE shares down by Rs 5.5 billion

Kathmandu. On the first trading day of the week, the stock market fell slightly. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index decreased by 2.01 points to close at 2,641.82 points today.

Today, the sub-indices of all the sub-indices except hydropower, production and processing, mutual funds, others and trade declined, while the finance group fell by more than 1 percent.

Shares of 201 companies fell today and 72 declined. Similarly, the shares of 5 companies have not fluctuated.

Shares of First Micro Finance Laghubitta and Mahila Laghubitta fell by 6.5 percent today. Shares of Sarbottam Paints and Mount Everest Power rose 15 per cent on the day.

Although the NEPSE index decreased today, the transaction amount increased. A total of 11.9 million units of shares of 350 companies were traded for Rs 5.52 billion on Friday.
