Kathmandu. Journalist Kishor Shrestha has been released after the Supreme Court ordered. A division bench of Justices Nahakul Subedi and Bal Krishna Dhakal on Monday ordered his release.

After his release from jail, he took to social media on Tuesday to congratulate and wish all those who helped him, saying that the truth has not died and he has not lost the call. “The truth is not dead, the pen has not been lost,” Shrestha wrote on social media.

He expressed the belief that the veil of illusion would be torn down even if it was late, indicating that truth would eventually prevail. He said, “The place of the bird is not a cage, but the open sky.” It may be late, but the veil of illusion will be torn apart. ’

According to the Supreme Court’s order, the complainant’s photo was posted by the complainant on social networking site Facebook and the defendants could not refute the fact.

Similarly, Shrestha is seen as the editor of Jan Aastha magazine, but he is not seen in the editorial role of Jana Aastha Online, where the photo was published. Editor-in-chief Shrestha of Jana Aastha Weekly was arrested on Wednesday on the charge of violating personal privacy.

Saraswati Shrestha, wife of journalist Shrestha, had filed a writ petition at the apex court on Thursday. The Kathmandu District Court on Monday had remanded Shrestha to custody for the second time. However, after the Supreme Court’s order, the police released Shrestha on Monday.
