‘Elephant in the Fog’ nominated in three categories at Asia Pacific Screen Awards

Kathmandu. Avinash Bikram Shah’s film ‘Elephant in the Fog’ has been nominated in three categories at the 19th Asia Pacific Screen Awards.

Asia Pacific Screen Academy (APAC) has announced the nomination list of 36 films from 32 countries.

According to the Asia Pacific Screen Academy, ‘Elephant in the Fog’ has been nominated in the Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor.

The award will be held in Australia on October 30. ‘Elephants in the Fog’ has been released at the domestic box office since September 19. The good news from the International Film Festival comes at a time when it has received excellent reviews and positive word of mouth from the audience.

The film tells the story of a minority community living in a settlement that is affected by the terror of wild elephants.

The movie features Gauri Malla, Maotse Gurung, Pushpa Thing Lama, Deepika Yadav, Jasmine Bishwakarma, Alize Ghimire, Mahima Nawabag, Akanksha Karki and others.

The screenplay of director Shah is the story of Avinash and Sandeep Badal. The movie has been produced in collaboration with the production houses of Nepal, France, Germany, Brazil and Norway.

The producers of the film are Anup Paudel from Nepal, Justin Petchberty and Damien Megerbi from France and Michael Henriques from Germany. The co-producers are Prachandaman Shrestha, Tatiana Leite, Leonardo McKie, Paul Zeisler, Verona Meir Storm, Martin Rechbach, Susanne Mann, Kumudini Gurung Shrestha and Soham Dhakal from Brazil.

Keki Adhikari, Pratik Subedi and Pratibha Joshi are the associate producers of the movie.

Prabesh Gurung, Aditya Basnet, Anuj Poudyal, Santosh Bhattarai, Benjamin Grubbs are the co-producers of Underground Talkies Nepal.
