ATMs can now withdraw Rs 100 notes

Kathmandu. From now on, one hundred rupee notes can also be withdrawn from ATMs. As Dashain is approaching, the Nepal Rastra Bank has directed banks and financial institutions to make arrangements to withdraw one hundred rupees from ATMs.

Nepal Rastra Bank’s Currency Management Department has written a letter to Nepal Bankers’ Association (NBA) asking it to distribute Rs 100 through ATMs from now on.

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) officials said that the directive has been issued to ease the services and work of excessive crowd in banks and financial institutions during the festival season.

Currently, ATMs of banks and financial institutions are distributing only Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes. However, now you can withdraw Rs 100 from the ATMs of banks and financial institutions.

It is believed that this will end the compulsion of service recipients to queue up at banks to exchange small denomination notes.
