Kathmandu. In the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2082/83, real estate transactions have increased across the country. The number of real estate transactions has increased by 12.25 percent compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.
However, the transaction growth rate in the metropolitan city is even higher. The number of real estate transactions in Kathmandu Metropolitan City has increased by 155.74 percent. Similarly, the turnover in Lalitpur has increased by 136.92 percent, Pokhara by 108.71 percent, Bharatpur by 63.04 percent, Biratnagar by 47.59 percent and Birgunj by 29.19 percent.
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is also ahead in terms of area transacted. The total area of real estate transactions in Kathmandu has increased by 208.22 percent. The total value of transactions has also increased by 217.40 percent in Kathmandu.
The number of real estate transactions in Dhangadhi sub-metropolis has increased by 73.16 percent. Hetauda is ahead in area growth with 104.16 percent. Similarly, the total transaction value in Hetauda has increased by 186.80 percent.
The number of transactions in the country increased by 12.28 percent and the resignation transaction increased by 22.88 percent in the review period. In the fourth quarter of the previous year, the growth of resignation transactions was only 8.15 percent. Similarly, the total area of real estate transactions increased by 15.41 percent. The area had decreased by 2.98 percent in the same period of the previous financial year. The latest data indicates an improvement in the number of transactions, area and value in the real estate market.
