Kathmandu: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has urged the media persons to abide by the established norms while asking questions in journalism and publishing it.

Talking to media persons after leaving the meeting of the election review and restructuring task force at the party central office in Chyasal on Sunday, Oli said that the necessary process should be done with the person concerned before asking questions and publishing news.

He said, “The rule of journalism all over the world is that you are asked, ‘Can I ask you a question?’ When you ask a question, before you publish it, what you say is standard journalism, we are asking whether we are publishing. ’

Oli urged the media not to behave arbitrarily while asking questions. Oli said that questions should not be asked by bringing the microphone in front of anyone’s permission.

He said, “First ask if you can ask a question. You ask questions by piercing your snout, punching your mouth. Don’t do that, ask me. Can we ask some questions?”
