Prime Minister’s Relief Fund reaches Rs 14.88 billion

Kathmandu. The process of raising financial assistance for the flood victims of the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa is increasing.

About Rs 15 billion has been deposited in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund and the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund run by the Government of Nepal. According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, there is currently a reserve of Rs 14.88 billion in the fund. The government has already released Rs 1 billion from the amount collected in the fund for the flood-affected areas.

According to the office, the fund has deposited USD 11.14 billion in nine commercial banks and USD 24.44 million in dollar accounts of Himalayan Bank and Laxmi Sunrise Bank.
