President Thapa vows to fulfill martyrs’ dreams

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has paid tributes to all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of Nepali people’s rights, freedom and democracy on the occasion of Martyrs Day.

Issuing a message today, Thapa said that the Nepali people have been able to breathe in the era of freedom due to the contribution of the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives in different movements and struggles in different periods of history from the people’s revolution of 2007 BS to the ‘Jenji’ rebellion of 2082 BS.

He expressed the view that Nepal could be transformed into a peaceful, stable and prosperous nation only through a strong and strong democracy, adding that it was the common responsibility of the present generation and new generation to internalize the ideals and sacrifices shown by the brave martyrs.

“Nepal can be transformed into a peaceful and prosperous nation only through a strong and strong democracy. It is our responsibility and that of the new generation to move firmly ahead on the path of prosperity by adopting the path of sacrifice, sacrifice and ideals shown by the brave martyrs,” he wrote.

On the occasion of the Martyrs Day, Thapa expressed his high respect to the indomitable courage, determination and ideals of the martyrs and pledged to fulfill the dreams of the martyrs and move ahead firmly on the path shown by them.

“Today, on the occasion of Martyrs Day, we vow to fulfill the dreams of martyrs and walk the path shown by them,” Thapa said.

Likewise, the Prime Minister stressed the need for effective implementation of people’s rights enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal enshrined in the Constitution of Nepal drafted by the Constituent Assembly under the leadership of Nepali Congress and timely revision.

PM Oli expressed the confidence that the Martyrs Day would inspire all to achieve the motto of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Respected Nepali’ through collective efforts of all Nepalis living in and outside the country.
