Kathmandu. Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has described Nepal Telecom as the digital backbone of the state. Addressing the 22nd anniversary function of Nepal Telecom here today, Minister Pokharel said that the Nepal Telecom is not just a telecommunications organization but an important base of national unity, service delivery and economic activities.

“Nepal Telecom is not just a telecommunications institution. It is the digital backbone of the state. The organization has been carrying out national unity, service delivery and economic activities by providing access to communications from the remote mountains to the villages of the Terai. The role played by Nepal Telecom is important in times of natural disaster, epidemic or other emergencies. ’

He said that Nepal Telecom has been contributing in the overall development of the country by expanding the access of communications from the remote mountainous area to the villages of the Terai. Home Minister Aryal also said that the role played by Nepal Telecom during natural disaster, epidemic and other emergency situations is very significant. Minister Aryal said that telecommunications has been transformed into the basic necessity of human life in today’s era and it has become very essential. He expressed his confidence that Nepal Telecom would prioritize customer satisfaction by maintaining balance between competitive market, corporate responsibility, service quality and technological innovation.

“Today, telecommunication has become a basic element of human life. Telecommunication has become a necessity. I am confident that Nepal Telecom will keep customer satisfaction first by balancing competitive market, responsibility, service quality and technological innovation. I urge the company to move forward towards increasing its competitive capacity by providing its beloved network, abundant infrastructure, excellent and efficient human capital, ample market potential, efficient management and mobilization of available resources. ’
