Kathmandu. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Anil Kumar Sinha, has said the grit, dynamism and ethical professionalism of private sector were the backbone for economy.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Best Western Plus Godavari Resort in Lalitpur on Thursday, he said that the private sector is a major pillar of the three-pillar economic policy adopted by the state.

“The private sector is one of the major pillars of the three-pillar economic policy adopted by the state. I believe that the boldness, dynamism and ethical professionalism of the private sector is the backbone of the economy. ’

Minister Sinha said that although the tourism sector is a lucrative sector, it has not been able to get the expected benefit. According to him, the average stay of tourists has not been even 14 days. Stating that the average expenditure was around USD 41 per day, he pointed out the need to increase it.

He said, “Tourism sector is a lucrative sector for us. However, we have not been able to achieve the expected benefits. The average stay of tourists has not been even 14 days. The average cost is around $41 a day, which needs to be increased. The general public and the private sector play an important role in this. ’

He believes that the inauguration of Best Western Plus Godavari Resort will further boost the tourism sector.
