Kathmandu. Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) candidate from Rupandehi-3, Srinivas Yadav, has announced that he has withdrawn his candidacy and joined the CPN (UML). Yadav is also a central member of JSP Nepal.

In a press release issued on Monday, Yadav said that he took the decision as he believed that the UML would be the main political force for political stability and a way out in the present difficult national situation. He has also said that he has withdrawn his candidacy by renouncing all responsibilities including the general membership of the party.

Yadav has appealed to the voters who believe in him to vote on the election symbol of the UML. UML’s Basudev Ghimire is contesting from Rupandehi-3.

CPN-UML Rupandehi Chairman Yagya Gaire and other leaders welcomed Yadav into the party.
