National Examination Board (NEB) announces Grade 12 exam schedule

Kathmandu. National Examination Board (NEB) has published the schedule for Grade 12 examinations. Issuing a notice, the Office of the Controller of Examinations of the Board, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur has stated that the annual examination of regular and partial students of class 12 (first two digits of 79, 80, 81 and 82 of the registration number) will be conducted from April 28, 2083.

According to the notice, the exam will be held from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. The exam will start from April 28 and will continue till May 10. The board has stated that the examinations of compulsory and optional subjects under various faculties and streams will be conducted on the stipulated date and time.

The examination will begin from compulsory English (regular) subject on April 28, compulsory Nepali on April 15, compulsory English (partial) and social studies (technical stream) subjects on April 29.

Similarly, examinations of Mathematics, Accounting, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Education, Management, Humanities and various technical subjects will be conducted as per the schedule. The board has directed the candidates to be present at the examination center at least half an hour before the commencement of the examination. Candidates appearing after 15 minutes of the commencement of the examination will not be included. It has also been clarified that there will be no arrangement for re-examination for the candidates who are absent in the examination program.

Similarly, the examination centre cannot be changed, electronic devices including mobile phones, smart watches are prohibited and the examinees themselves have to bring the necessary materials and the students of biology subject are required to use the same answer book for botany and zoology.

If a student has more than one subject on the same day, the board has been requested to inform the province or branch office within 15 days of the publication of the notice. It is also stated that foreign citizens studying English as an optional English instead of compulsory Nepali should appear for the optional English subject examination on April 29.
