Kathmandu. MUSTANG: The Korala checkpoint with Nepal-China number 24 in Lomanthang rural municipality of Mustang district is to be closed for three days.
The Korala transit point, which is bordering China, will be closed from 12:00 midnight on March 2 to 12:00 midnight in view of the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 4. The District Administration Office, Mustang has stated that all types of movement except essential services will be prohibited during the period.
The locals of Korola checkpoint located at an altitude of 4,650 metres above the sea level have also been requested to return to the settlement during the period.
Similarly, the 110-km Jomsom-Korala road would be closed until the polling is completed from March 3 to 24.
