Kathmandu. Various embassies in the Gulf region have given necessary publicity and coordination to the portal brought into operation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in view of the evolving situation in the Middle East.
The Nepali Embassy in Riyadh has said that it has brought into operation a portal for the registration of names of Nepalis and urged the Nepali workers to provide necessary information.
According to the Embassy, the portal has been launched for collecting information regarding the situation of Nepali citizens and for the purpose of necessary action. Information about Nepalis in Saudi Arabia and Yemen would be collected through the portal prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Likewise, the Nepali migrant organisations associated with different political parties have also designated contact persons for the Nepali community.
