Passport service may be disrupted for a week, says Department

Kathmandu. The department has said that the passport distribution system may be closed for a week. According to the Department, the service may be disrupted for a week in course of installing the new system by replacing the old system.

The Department has stated that the passport service provided by the district and area administrations and the Nepali missions abroad may be closed for one to three days. At this time, it may take more time for the passport to be prepared and issued after applying from the district, area administration office and Nepali mission abroad.

Service recipients who need passport for the next 5 months have been urged to seek service from the concerned body before the start of the interim situation. The department said it will make public information about the new system later.
