Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Dalit Mukti Morcha (NDMF) has demanded an impartial investigation into the murder of girl Inisa BK and action against the culprits as per the law.
A team led by NGO Chair Daljit Shreepali submitted a memorandum to Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal at the Ministry on Sunday, demanding justice to the families of the victims.
Likewise, the UDMF has drawn the attention of the bodies concerned to take action against those involved in the incident and demanded justice and appropriate compensation by assessing the physical and psychological damage caused to the victim’s family.
Receiving the memorandum, Minister Aryal pledged to investigate the incident and bring the culprits to book. Stating that impunity must end in the country, he said the government was committed responsibly to maintain law and order by controlling any kind of criminal incidents and undesirable activities.
Inisa BK, a 16-year-old girl studying in grade 11 at Usha Balbatika School in Gurbhakot Municipality-6 of Surkhet district, was murdered by the police.
He was found unconscious in a community forest near Sahid Park in Birendranagar-4 at around 6 am on March 6 when he had gone out of his home for tuition and did not return home till late in the morning.
“Looking at the nature of the incident, it seems that the girl was brutally murdered after being raped,” the memorandum said.
