Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index decreased by 26.07 points to close at 2,798.83 points on Monday.

Kathmandu. The stock market fell 26.07 points on Monday. After the decline, the NEPSE index decreased to 2798 points. The transaction amount has also decreased. The transaction has shrunk to Rs 11.97 billion today from Rs 14.35 billion the previous day.

The price of 48 companies increased and 211 declined, while 4 remained unchanged. Except for production and processing, the indices of all the groups decreased. The index of this group rose 0.25 percent.

Banking sector saw a share decline by 1.61 per cent, development bank by 0.84, finance by 0.71, hotel and tourism by 0.26, investment by 1.52, life insurance by 0.94, microfinance by 0.75, non-life insurance by 0.45 and others by 1.09 and trade group by 0.21 per cent.

The value of five companies has increased by 10 percent. Reliance Spinning Mills, Salpa Development Bank, Upper Hewakhola, Solu Hydropower and Hotel Forest Inn were among the companies that surged 10 percent. Likewise, People’s Hydropower Ltd (6.51 per cent), Sindhu Bikas Bank (6.33 per cent) and National Hydropower Ltd (5.36 per cent) increased their valuation.

Narayani Development Bank was the biggest loser at 4.18 per cent. Greenlife Hydropower fell 3.98 percent. Ankhukhola Hydropower, National Hydropower, Aparahewa Khola, SY Panel and Reedi Power are among the companies that are most traded today.
