Kathmandu. The Human Rights and Peace Society protested in front of the United States, Israel’s embassy and Iran’s consulate.
The Peace Society organized demonstrations at the US Embassy in Maharajgunj, the Embassy of Israel in Lazimpat, the Iranian Consulate in Kathmandu, and the Yak and Yeti Hotel in Kathmandu, calling for an immediate end to the war.
They carried banners that read, “Powerful countries do not support war, contribute to ending war, America stop war, stop peace”.
They say that the ongoing war between the United States and Israel and Iran has severely disturbed world peace.
The society has urged US President Donald Trump to stop the war and take special initiatives to promote peace by stopping the war, saying that the escalation of war is a serious threat to world peace. “I don’t want to see the U.S. as a champion of war, but always on the front lines of peace,” he said.
