PM Oli offers prayers at Chandannath in Jumla

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki offered prayers at the famous Chandannath Temple today. Prime Minister Karki, who is on a visit to Karnali since Thursday, performed puja at the Chandannath Temple for 15 minutes on Friday. The Chandannath Guthi Committee believes that the worship of Karki at Chandannath will send an important message to the religious tourism of Karnali.

Prime Minister Karki, who arrived in Jumla by a Nepal Army helicopter, was staying at the Nepal Army’s No 24 Brigade Headquarters. Security has been tightened in Jumla when he reached Chandannath on Friday morning. Chief District Officer of Jumla, Dipak Poudel, said that the Prime Minister performed the puja this morning.

“The Prime Minister’s schedule in Jumla has concluded with the worship of Chandannath,” he said, adding, “The Prime Minister has wished for peace of the Nepali people at Chandannath.” ’

The Prime Minister also inspected Rara of Mugu and Karnali Technical School of Jumla. The Prime Minister had left for Karnali State without any formal programme. After reaching Karnali after the election, Prime Minister Karki interacted with the district-level security chiefs in Mugu as he could not reach Karnali during his pre-election inspection tour.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Karki praised the security agencies and employees for conducting the elections with effective coordination and commitment despite limited resources and difficult geography. On the occasion, President Bhandari expressed special gratitude to the locals met during the state visit for their unity, goodwill and cooperation in making the elections successful.

Prime Minister Karki had left for Karnali to thank the security agencies, employees and voters for supporting the elections in a peaceful manner. She also observed Rara Lake and Karnali Technical School in Jumla.

She also held discussions with security chiefs of Mugu and Jumla. Appreciating the active participation in the election, she thanked the security agencies, employees and voters.
