Shooting of ‘Ba Ek Yoddha’ begins at Pashupatinath

Kathmandu. Hari Lamsal, a well-known name in the Nepali music industry, will now be seen as a film director. The shooting of the new Nepali movie ‘Baa: Ek Yoddha’ has started from Monday.

The production of the film has started with religious rituals in the presence of the production team of the film on the premises of Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu.

The movie, which is being produced under the banner of Artistic Entertainment, aims to highlight a poignant aspect of Nepali society.

Hari Lamsal, who has been playing dozens of popular songs as a singer and musician for a long time, is debuting as a director with this movie. The story and screenplay of the film have also been written by Lamsal himself. There will be curiosity and interest to know what will be the directorial ability of Lamsal, who has made his own identity in music.

The title of the film and the ‘theme’ of the poster indicate that it will be a pure social story. It is understood that the importance of a father in a Nepali family, his sacrifices for the future of his children, his struggles and the challenges he faces throughout his life are meant to portray him as a ‘warrior’.

The film will portray the story of a father’s responsibility on his shoulders, especially in rural and urban society.

Veteran cinematographer Shivaram Shrestha will be the cinematographer of the movie. Shrestha has already shown his skills by shooting movies like ‘Purna Bahadurko Sarangi’, ‘Witch’s Ghar’ and ‘Paran’, which have proved to be blockbusters in the market.

Due to his cinematography, the movie ‘Baa: Ek Yoddha’ is expected to be the best visually.

The producer of the film is Basanta Lamsal. Singer and composer Lamsal had earlier produced the movie ‘Karma’ with actor Bipin Karki.

The main assistant director of the movie is Tara Nath Neupane. Although the production team has started shooting for the film, the names of the actors in the lead role have been kept secret till now. According to the production team, the names of the actors have not been made public with the intention of giving a ‘surprise’.

Artistic Entertainment has been working on high-quality projects in the past and expects to give the audience an entertaining film with an emotional and social theme. According to the producers, the release date of the film will be fixed only after the completion of all the shooting.
