Kathmandu. Kalanga Hydro Limited (KHL) has opened its initial public offering (IPO) from today. In the first phase, the company has started issuing shares to the local residents of the project-affected areas and Nepali migrant workers.
Out of the total issued capital of Rs 1.40 billion, 1.4 million units have been set aside for the locals. Out of the offered, 9,10,000 units have been set aside for the residents of most affected areas and 4,90,000 units have been set aside for other affected areas.
Similarly, 10% i.e. 350,000 units of shares are being issued for the Nepalese employed abroad. Applications can be place for minimum 10 units and maximum 2000 units.
Sanima Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue manager for the IPO issuance. Applications will be open until April 24 for locals and until April 24 for Nepalis who are in foreign employment.
