8 more Nepalis rescued from Cambodia

Kathmandu. Another 8 Nepalis who arrived in Cambodia have been rescued. They have been rescued and sent home.

The rescue of 8 Nepalis who had reached Cambodia with the help of various people who had reached Cambodia and were involved in online scamming centers, online fraud in casinos and other illegal activities as well as staying in Cambodia without a visa were rescued with the initiative of the Nepali Embassy in Thailand and the Cambodian government.

Likewise, efforts are underway to bring back other Nepalis stranded or in difficult situation to Nepal. Earlier, 12 Nepalis were rescued and repatriated. The embassy has also urged Nepalis in trouble to come in contact with them.

The embassy has urged the Nepalis going abroad for employment not to be tempted and to go abroad only after fulfilling the official process. It has also been requested to be cautious of misleading information coming on social media.

The embassy has urged those not to go abroad for foreign employment only with work permit set by the Government of Nepal and not to go abroad in the pretext of visiting countries like Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and others.
