Armed Police Force Inspector arrested with bribe from Dhanusha

Kathmandu. The Office of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Bardibas, has arrested an inspector of the Armed Police Force (APF) with bribe money. The CIAA has arrested Police Inspector Okil Adhikari after conducting a sting operation.

Prakash Pokharel, information officer at the commission Bardibas, told Nepal Press that he was arrested from Lalgadh of Dhanusha along the East-West Highway.

According to Pokharel, the anti-graft body had been monitoring the construction of Kamala-Dhalkebar-Bagmati road section on the basis of complaints of vehicles being stopped for filling soil and gravel filling, creating unnecessary obstacles and demanding bribe.

He was arrested with Rs 40,000 in bribe. The inspector has been taken under control and further investigation is underway, said officer Pokharel.
