Kathmandu. The filing of candidacy for the election of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives is taking place today. The election of the Deputy Speaker has been fixed from 11 am to 2 pm today.

The candidacy registration notice will be published at 2:30 pm today. The election for the post of Deputy Speaker is scheduled for May 27.

The Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Nepali Communist Party, Labour Culture Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party are in the House of Representatives.

The RSP has a simple majority in the House of Representatives with 182 lawmakers. There are 38 lawmakers from the Nepali Congress, 25 from the UML, 17 from the Communist Party of Nepal, seven from the Labour and Culture Party and five from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party.
