Kathmandu. A joint meeting of both the Houses of Parliament is taking place today as part of the Federal Parliament session-2082. The meeting will take place at 3:00 pm.

President Ram Chandra Poudel is scheduled to address a joint session of both houses of the parliament in today’s session, according to Secretary General of the Federal Parliament Secretariat Padma Prasad Pandey.

The President is scheduled to address the joint session of the parliament as per the constitutional provision of presenting the policies and programmes of the government.

It is customary for the President to address a joint sitting of the Federal Parliament at the beginning of the budget session every year to inform the government of its priorities and future plans.

Through today’s address, the government is expected to present the outline of policies and programmes for the coming fiscal year.
