Immigration officials to be punished for illegal practices

Kathmandu. The Department of Immigration (DoI) has decided to take action against the employees who practice illegally, as there is no policy or decision of the Immigration Administration to allow departure by setting conditions and conditions outside the law.

Department’s Spokesperson Tikaram Dhakal said that an internal investigation has been initiated against the employees who gave the permission to leave illegally. Issuing a press release today, the Department said, “We are all aware of the fact that many Nepalis today are not only interested in foreign travel and in search of better opportunities, but also compulsion.

The immigration administration has said that it is doing its best to control fraud and exploitation at various levels by taking advantage of this compulsion of the citizens.

The Department has made it clear that the departure has been simplified and systematic in order to control irregularities in asking for unnecessary documents and making decisions based on the decision of the Government of Nepal on October 29, 2082 in the case of Nepali citizens departing from Nepal on visit visa, passport with a valid validity of at least six months, air ticket to destination country and self-declaration if they have visa of the country concerned.

The Department has stated that it has been working in the areas of strengthening national security by making policy facilitation and further modernization of immigration system to make the arrival and departure of passengers hassle-free.
