Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan University (TU) has issued a 35-day public notice to return the encroached land.
The report of the TU Land and Immovable Property Search Committee-2081 BS states that individuals, companies, organizations or bodies have been trespassing, occupying and controlling the land and immovable property owned by the university and its bodies in violation of the university’s act, rules and laws.
The Tribhuvan University (TU) has issued a notice today urging the government to vacate the encroached land and return it officially.
The notice has been published for the information of all concerned to cause the government or donors to vacate the land and immovable property provided to the University for the use of the right of use at different times and conditions for educational development within 35 days from the date of publication of the notice. If they do not comply, they will proceed according to the rules.
The notice was published as per the decision of the TU Executive Council on April 23. An investigation committee formed by the government has pointed out that around 2,500 ropanis of TU land has been encroached upon.
