Public holiday for 4 consecutive days from May 28

Kathmandu. The government has declared a public holiday on May 28 on the occasion of Bakar-Eid (Eid-ul-Adha). Issuing a press release today, Home Ministry spokesperson and joint secretary Ananda Kafle shared that May 14 is a public holiday today.

The government had announced a holiday on the occasion of Bakar-Eid through the gazette on March 18. Accordingly, the government declared a holiday after the Muslim Commission informed about Eid on May 28.

Friday, May 29, is also a public holiday on account of the Republic Day. Since Saturday and Sunday are weekly holidays, there are four consecutive public holidays from Thursday, May 28 to Sunday, May 29.
