Trump advises negotiators not to hurry up deal with Iran

Kathmandu. U.S. President Donald Trump has asked U.S. negotiators “not to make hasty deals” with Iran. President Trump said on Truth Social that the blockade would remain in full force “until an agreement is reached, ratified and signed”.

The United States has imposed blockades on Iranian ports since April 13, in response to the U.S.-Israeli invasion on February 28, nearly halting traffic through the economically important Strait of Hormuz.

Trump’s comments came amid reports that the US and Iran are preparing a blueprint for a new ceasefire deal. While the White House did not disclose the details of the agreement, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghhai said on state television that “the two sides are nearing finalization of a framework of a deal consisting of 14 articles”.
