Kathmandu. The committee formed to recommend names for the vacant vice-chancellors of various universities has made public the list of approved candidates from among the applicants who had applied for the vacant vice-chancellors.
The committee under the Ministry of Education and Sports has made public the list of approved candidates after scrutinizing the documents of the candidates for these universities.
According to the Ministry, 43 applications have been approved for the post of vice-chancellor of Tribhuvan University, 34 for Purbanchal University, 33 for Pokhara University, 13 for Lumbini Buddhist University, 13 for Agriculture and Forestry University, 17 for Mid-Western University, 18 for Sudurpaschim University and 21 for Rajarshi Janak University.
A total of 218 candidates had applied for all the universities and 199 candidates qualified for the competition. These candidates will make presentations and interviews and on the basis of this, the committee will evaluate the names of three candidates for the post of vice-chancellor of the concerned university before the chancellor and the prime minister.
The appointment process for the vacant post of vice-chancellor of Nepal Open University has already begun.
