Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Nepali national cricket team has been given a leave for the tri-nation series to be held in the Netherlands under the ICC Cricket World Cup League-2.
KATHMANDU: The Nepali men’s cricket team was bid farewell to the national cricket team to play against the Netherlands and Namibia in a special ceremony on Sunday.
Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) secretary Paras Khadka expressed his confidence that the team would repeat the performance of last year in Scotland.
Likewise, Nepali team captain Rohit Poudel said that the team is balanced and confident that they would perform well.
“We have a very good team combination. We are confident that we will do well against the Netherlands and Namibia. We have prepared mentally accordingly and every player will give his 100 percent. ’
Nepal will have a preparatory camp in Jersey before the League-2 series involving the Netherlands, Namibia and Nepal starting July 21. CAN will also play two practice ODIs on July 13 and 15.
