Kathmandu. The Land Problems Resolution Committee has pledged to take action against those collecting money from the landless Dalits, landless squatters and unsystematic settlers.
According to the committee, Nissa is being distributed free of cost by the concerned local levels by entering the details of available land in the information system on the basis of the applications collected from across the country.
According to the committee, it is the responsibility of the local level to identify, verify and identify the land to be provided to the applicants who have received the evidence.
According to the committee under the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration, the training has been imparted to the employees through the District Land Problems Resolution Committee chaired by the Chief District Officer.
It has also held discussions with the people’s representatives of the local levels and the office-bearers of the district committees and carried out on-site monitoring in various districts.
The committee said it has received complaints that some people have been extorting money from service recipients in the name of registering applications or providing evidence. The committee has urged not to give money to anyone as such act is illegal.
