Kathmandu. Police have arrested Umesh Mukhiya, 36, of Jhapa district with 570 milligrammes of brown heroin from Tarakeshwor municipality-7 in Kathmandu on Wednesday evening. A police team deputed from Police Circle, Balaju arrested him with the substance.
Police also arrested 23-year-old Ghanashyam Basnet of Pathari Sanischare Municipality-10 in Morang district with 5 grams 860 milligrams of brown sugar. A police team deputed from Area Police Office, Pathari arrested him with the substance.
Police have arrested Subash Rajbanshi, 23, of Bhadrapur municipality-7 with 1.55 grammes of heroin from Kadam Chowk in Haldibari rural municipality-2 of Jhapa district on Wednesday. A police team deployed from Haldibari Police Post arrested him with the substance.
Police have arrested Nikesh Majhi, 26, of Morang district along with 600 milligrams of brown heroin, 941 tablets of controlled narcotic drug Tramadol and 1,230 tablets of Diclomine and Rs 53,210 in cash from Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-8 on Wednesday afternoon. A police team from Koshi Provincial Police Office, Biratnagar arrested them with the drugs. Also, the police used them. Police also confiscated a motorcycle (36 Pa 5547).
Meanwhile, police have arrested two persons with 330 milligrams of brown sugar from Salleban of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-9 in Dang on Wednesday evening. The arrested have been identified as Prem Bahadur Dangi, 29, and Bir Bahadur Chaudhary, 29, of the same sub-metropolis-8. A police team deputed from the Area Police Office, Tulsipur arrested them with the substance.
Likewise, police arrested 23-year-old Nasib Ahmad of India with 550 milligrammes of heroin from Lamahi municipality-5, Sunkholi village on Wednesday night. A police team deputed from Ward Police Office, Lamahi arrested him with the substance.
Police have arrested 22-year-old Arjun Sunar of Shivaraj Municipality-9 with 500 milligrams of brown sugar and Rs 6,000 in cash from Krishnanagar Municipality-8 in Kapilvastu district on Wednesday night. A team of police deployed from Area Police Office, Bahadurganj arrested them with the substance.
Police have arrested 29-year-old Suraj Luitel of Dhunibeshi municipality-2 in Dhading district in possession of 290 tablets of controlled drug Tramadol from Pandubazaar height of Surya Binayak municipality-6 in Bhaktapur district on Wednesday afternoon. A police team deputed from the District Police Range, Bhaktapur arrested him with the banned drugs.
Police arrested Bidur Karki, 21, of Swamichowk in Dharan Sub-metropolis-16 on Wednesday evening with 428 tablets of banned drugs and 548 tablets of Tramadol. A team deployed from the Area Police Office, Dharan seized the drugs during a search of his room. Police said further investigation is underway in this connection.
