NC will fully support govt in disaster management: Gagan Thapa

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has said that the situation in Rasuwa district has become serious and worrisome due to the unprecedented and sudden major floods.

In case of disaster, people have been urged to stay on high alertness and stay safe in the downstream areas of Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers.

He urged the government to mobilize all the state machinery and concentrate on rescue and relief by coordinating with all levels of government. He has extended the full support and cooperation of the Nepali Congress in the government’s efforts for disaster management.

“I appeal to all the committees of the Nepali Congress, especially the leadership and all the members of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Chitwan, among other districts, to immediately mobilize and cooperate in rescue and relief operations to keep the families living in the coastal areas in safe places. ’
