Vehicles heading towards Dhading, Rasuwa and Chitwan halted in Kathmandu due to flood risk

Kathmandu. Vehicles heading towards Dhading, Rasuwa and Chitwan from Kathmandu Valley have been halted in view of the possible risk after the flood from China started coming towards the Trishuli River via Bhotekoshi.

The Kathmandu Traffic Police Office (CTPO) has stopped the movement of vehicles from Nagdhunga and Bhimdhunga checkpoints in Kathmandu in view of the risk of floods in the area.TAG_OPEN_div_35

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Naresh Subedi of the Kathmandu Traffic Police Office, the vehicles heading to these districts have been urged not to leave immediately.TAG_OPEN_div_33

} He said, “Vehicles going towards that area have been asked not to go due to risk. ’

TAG_OPEN_div_29 The traffic police have also urged the transport entrepreneurs not to operate public vehicles towards Dhading, Rasuwa and Chitwan. The police have said that precaution has been taken in view of the possible floods and road blockage.

Police have also banned the movement of four-wheelers and two-wheelers heading to these districts from Nagdhunga and Bhimdhunga checkpoints.TAG_OPEN_div_27
