Kathmandu. The World Health Organization (WHO) is to send necessary medical and relief materials to those affected by the flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa this morning.
According to the Health Ministry, the organization will send basic medicines and health equipment to the hospital after talking to Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta. It is also sending 15 emergency tents of 24 square meters to the affected areas.
The Ministry has allocated 100 emergency beds at Bir Hospital and Trauma Centre in Kathmandu for flood survivors. According to the Ministry, three injured people have been rescued and brought to Kathmandu so far.
Coordination is also being made with Kathmandu-based federal hospital, blood transfusion centre, Health Ministry of Bagmati and Gandaki province, Nepal Red Cross, Lions and Nepal Scout for emergency health service.
