Traffic police take action against 593 people in 24 hours

Kathmandu. The traffic police have taken action against the drivers of 593 vehicles in the last 24 hours.

A total of 48 drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, 64 were booked for driving under the influence of CCTV, and 49 drivers were operated under the red lights in course of checks conducted by the Traffic Police in different parts of Kathmandu Valley till Wednesday morning.

Similarly, 73 drivers were taken for speeding, 13 for not wearing horns, 19 for lane crossing, 18 for unruly conditions, eight for one-way traffic and 301 for others.
