Tribhuvan University opens online application for 52nd convocation

Kathmandu. Tribhuvan University, Office of the Controller of Examinations has invited online applications from eligible students to participate in the 52nd Convocation Ceremony. Students who have passed bachelor’s, master’s and MPhil degrees from July 1, 2082 to June 31, 2083 and have completed their PhD (PhD) during the same period can apply online.

This time, TU has set up convocation centers in seven provinces — Bagmati, Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim — to make it accessible to the students. Students will have to choose the center to participate in after filling the online form, while the Bagmati Province center has been designated for those who get MPhil, PhD and topper and medal.

Different fees and deposit amounts have been fixed according to the level to participate in the convocation ceremony. According to this, three thousand rupees will be charged for bachelor’s degree, three thousand five hundred rupees for master’s degree and MPhil, and four thousand rupees for doctorate.

In addition, students of all levels will have to pay a deposit of Rs 2,500 for gowns and scarves, out of which Rs 500 will be deducted from the maintenance cost and the remaining amount will be returned to the student’s bank account. Students can have a maximum of two parents and a fee of four hundred rupees (non-refundable) will be charged per parent.

Interested students will have to pay an additional fee of five hundred rupees for the folder with the logo of Tribhuvan University. The entire fee can be submitted to Nepal Bank or Global IME Bank only through online banking.
