Kathmandu. The Election Commission (EC) has intensified the printing of ballot papers as the date for the House of Representatives election is approaching. According to the EC, the printing of ballot papers has been completed in 15 districts under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) category.
According to the EC, so far the ballot papers for the first-past-the-post (FPTP) system have been printed in 18 electoral constituencies of 15 districts. The ballot paper printing is taking place at the Janak Education Materials Centre in Bhaktapur.
Ballot papers for Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Salyan and Jajarkot districts have been completed. Likewise, both the constituencies of Dailekh and Surkhet have been elected from the same constituency. Constituency No. 1 and 2, Rukum West, Bajura and Achham Kailali Constituency No. 1 and 2 1, Jhapa Region No. and Sunsari Constituency No. 5. The printing of ballot papers in Province 1 has been completed, according to the EC.
According to the EC, one million 98 thousand 200 copies of the sample ballot paper have been printed and distributed to the concerned electoral constituencies. Likewise, the printing of more than 20.8 million ballot papers under the proportional representation system has also been completed.
