Nepal wants to build closer partnership with Japanese private sector: President Bhandari

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Poudel has urged the Japanese business community to explore business opportunities in Nepal. He also expressed the government’s commitment to provide all possible support to Japanese business community for investment and trade in Nepal.

President Poudel said this while addressing an interaction program with business community members of Japan organized in Tokyo, Japan today on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan. He also said Nepal wants to forge a close partnership with the Japanese private sector.

“We have created a stable macroeconomic environment with attractive return on investment, and easy processes for profit and capital repatriation,” the President said, adding, “The government is committed to provide full support, uninterrupted facilitation and security to the foreign investment.”

“As we celebrate the 70th anniversary of Nepal-Japan diplomatic relations, this is an opportune moment to deepen cooperation between our two sides in areas of mutual benefit,” he said.

“We are delighted by the philosophy of Gautam Buddha and Nepal have cultural relations since time immemorial,” he said. He urged those to invest in Nepal without any hesitation, urging them to invest in sectors like agriculture, water resources and tourism.
