Balen takes lead in Jhapa-5

Kathmandu. The results of the much-awaited preliminary census of Jhapa Constituency No. 5 have been made public.

Senior leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party Balendra Shah is leading with 814 votes.

CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has garnered 384 votes out of 1,400 votes counted.

Jhapa, which has five electoral constituencies, is the epicentre of this election.
