Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is to organise an orientation programme for the newly-elected members of the House of Representatives from today.
The orientation of the newly elected members of the House of Representatives is to begin from 10:00 am today at the Royal Tulip Hotel in Gwa, Lalitpur. The event will run for two days on March 13 and 4.
The programme will be formally inaugurated by the party’s vice-president and senior leaders.
The orientation will also impart training on the issues of the party’s ‘contract’ among the people. The topic of training will be given to the MPs on the current situation of the country, the party’s promises, responsibilities and the role of the parliamentarians.
Party spokesperson Manish Jha said that the MPs would be briefed on parliamentary practice, policy formulation, parliament working procedure, people’s representatives’ responsibilities and policies to be adopted by the party.
RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti has already issued a six-point directive to the newly elected lawmakers to attend the orientation programme.
The Rastriya Janajatantra Party (RSP) has won 182 seats in the House of Representatives election held on March 4.
