Kathmandu. The stock market which had fallen for the third consecutive day has increased slightly. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 1.77 points to close at 2,731.94 points today.
Except for development banks, investments, life insurance, production and processing, microfinance and mutual funds, the indices of other groups increased marginally.
Shares of 127 companies rose today and 120 declined. Shares of 22 companies have remained unchanged.
Today, Nabil Bank’s debentures (20890) have increased by 7.71 percent. Shares of Union Hydropower Ltd fell the most by 14.79 percent on the day.
Although the NEPSE index increased today, the transaction amount decreased. Shares of 338 companies were traded for Rs 3.09 billion compared to Rs 3.29 billion yesterday.
