Kathmandu. Police have arrested Suraj Krishna Shrestha, proprietor of the International Krishna Consciousness Association (ISKCON).
Shrestha was arrested on the charge of misbehaving with the children of ISKCON.
Police have started investigation into the case of child abuse against Shrestha after the children filed a complaint against him. KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a proprietor of the International Krishna Consciousness Amrita Association (ISKCON) based in Budhanilkantha municipality-5.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Pawan Bhattarai of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, informed that the proprietor Suraj Krishna Shrestha has been arrested.
He was arrested on the charge of abusing children studying at ISKCON. SP Bhattarai said that an investigation has been started against Shrestha after he was arrested a few days ago.
Police are investigating him on charges related to children. The children had filed a complaint against the owner of ISKCON, alleging that they were mistreated. He was arrested following a complaint.
