Home Ministry directs to take action against hospitals not providing concessions

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the government to monitor the status of the Work Procedure of the Free Treatment Portal (Operation and Management) and take action against the bodies not implementing it.

Issuing a circular to all the district administration offices, the Home Ministry has asked them to monitor whether the government has given the exemption and concession mentioned in the working procedure and make arrangements to provide the discount immediately.

The work procedure was issued to make the free treatment service of 10 percent of the total beds to be set aside by the hospital for the indigent, helpless and helpless citizens more systematic, transparent and accessible. According to the work procedure, people of the target group have not been able to get concessions and concessions while receiving health treatment from government, non-governmental, private, cooperative and non-profit hospitals.
