Kathmandu. The stock market has fallen for 2 consecutive days. The NEPSE index decreased by 8.30 points to close at 2,653.40 points today.

Except for development banks, finance, hydropower, microfinance, non-life insurance and trading, the indices of all the sub-indices decreased. Shares of 159 companies fell today and 104 declined. Similarly, shares of 14 companies remained unchanged.

Shares of Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower Ltd fell by 13.5 percent today. Overall, shares of Sanigad Hydro, Snow Rivers and Kalanga Hydro rose 15 percent on the day.

Although the NEPSE index decreased today, the transaction amount increased. A total of 8,584,000 units of shares of 345 companies were traded for Rs 4.41 billion today compared to Rs 4.11 billion yesterday.
