Speaker draws government’s attention on disaster preparedness and safe transportation arrangement

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has drawn the attention of the government to make more effective preparations to minimize loss of lives and property in the incidents of natural disasters like flood, landslide and inundation with the onset of monsoon.

Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Speaker Aryal urged the government to make arrangements for safe movement of vehicles by making preparedness, relief and rescue works effective for disaster management.

“The incidents of disasters like flood, landslide and inundation have increased with the onset of monsoon this year,” he said, adding, “I have drawn the attention of the government to make arrangements for effective disaster preparedness, relief and rescue and safe movement of vehicles to minimize the loss of lives and property due to such disasters.” ’
