Kathmandu. The stock market rose by double digits on the first trading day of the week. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index decreased by 33.28 points to close at 2,701.32 points today.
The sub-indices of all the groups except banks and mutual funds declined, while hotel and tourism, production and processing and trade groups fell by more than 2 percent.
Shares of 234 companies rose today and 36 declined. Similarly, the shares of 5 companies have not fluctuated.
Shares of Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Ltd fell by more than 13 percent today. Overall, shares of Everest Color rose 15 percent on the day of the market’s decline.
Today, the transaction amount has also decreased. A total of 13.9 million units of shares of 360 companies were traded for Rs 6.08 billion on Friday.
