President Poudel meets Speaker Aryal

Kathmandu. President Ram Chandra Poudel and Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal held a meeting at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar on Thursday. Speaker Aryal called on President Poudel at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas, this morning.

During the meeting, Speaker Aryal apprised President Poudel about latest political situation of the country and parliamentary performances, according to President Poudel’s Secretariat.

According to the President’s Secretariat, they also discussed the activities being carried out in the parliament, status of the bills and making the parliament effective.

President Poudel said the role of the parliament would be significant in further strengthening the parliamentary practice and promotion of democratic norms and values. According to the Secretariat, the meeting also briefly discussed contemporary political issues in course of regular meetings.
