Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has said that the party would move ahead by handling the disputes that have surfaced due to the statements of lawmakers within the party.

Talking to media persons after the meeting of the parliamentary party of the RSP, Lamichhane clarified that today’s discussion was not a parliamentary party meeting but an internal discussion on the party’s presentation in the parliament.

“This is our discussion today, not the parliamentary party meeting. In a large political party with many MPs within a political party, it can sometimes slip when someone speaks on some issue or the other. There are many, many people talk a lot, sometimes the call of one or two friends gets into controversy. We will move forward by handling it, there is nothing like that. ’

Lamichhane said that discussions were held within the party on how the RSP lawmakers are presenting themselves in the parliament. According to him, questions were being raised from the general public level regarding the issues to be presented in the parliament and its presentation.

According to him, internal discussions were also held to find out if there were any dissatisfaction or questions within the party hierarchy regarding the government, ministries and ministers.

“It is our responsibility to maintain the dignity of the parliament. In that sense, we discussed that the issues raised in the parliament should be presented in a dignified manner, the issues raised in the parliament should be related to the life of the common people and all the issues should be discussed at the same time and we should move forward with a better understanding,” he said.

He also refuted reports that relations with Prime Minister Balen Shah have deteriorated. The journalists also asked about the status of the Prime Minister stating that he was fighting alone. Lamichhane commented that the Prime Minister’s poetic sentiment was expressed in the status.

He said, “We enjoy writing that there was a fight between the two. Your news is bringing us even closer. So don’t stop writing news, the Prime Minister is also a poet and artist. I can’t feel alone in such a crowd and I don’t have to look for the political meaning of every word. The party is standing together here, where are you alone?”
